Description

The Global Environment Facility has an active institutional Call for Proposals for eligible GEF Agencies interested in serving as lead or co-lead agencies for GEF-9 Integrated Programs. The official GEF Council document states that the call was circulated to agencies in July 2026, with consultations during August–September and a proposal deadline of 23 October 2026. The GEF Secretariat will review and rate submissions before notifying selected agencies by 15 November 2026. This is a specialised institutional opportunity rather than an open NGO grant: eligibility is limited to organisations recognised as GEF Agencies. It is included for development-sector institutions tracking high-level climate, biodiversity and environmental programme opportunities.
